Zonal Welfare CouncilRabindra Jayanti
In every year Zonal Welfare Council celebrates the birthday of Viswa Kabi Rabindranath Tagore with all our team members, volunteers, many of our junior beneficiaries, and local children. Our team members conduct a cultural program on that day wherein willing persons can sing a song of Rabindranath, recite any poem of him, dance on his song.
Foundation Day
Zonal Welfare Council celebrates its foundation day on 17th May as the day our NGO was registered under the Government Act of WB. This day is celebrated in all of our branches and offices of all blocks and states. All our members, volunteers conduct a cultural program. Everyone participates in that program.
National Yoga day
on 21st June Zonal Welfare Council celebrates National Yoga Day in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan ( NYKS ) – An autonomous body of the government of India. Our all team members, volunteers promoted a healthy lifestyle by celebrating the day.
Children’s Day
Zonal Welfare Council is mainly working on a part of developments of rural children’s education. And that is why we celebrated children’s day on the 20th of November of 2018. It was organized at the North 24 Pargana’ Barasat branch. A total of 500 children was there. They performed SIT & DRAW competition. Our NGO distributed prizes, chocolates, fruits, flowers among them.
Gandhi Jayanti
On 2nd October of 2018 Zonal welfare Council celebrated the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi in our registered office, project office, branch office. Our all staff, members, volunteers help us to organized the program. On that day we conduct Swaach Bharat Abhiyan as per the guidelines of the Government of India. In 17 blocks of West Bengal, swaach Bharat Abhiyan was organized. As well as in Bihar it was organized in around 6 blocks. A total of 200 participants participated in Swaach Bharat Abhiyan that day.
Safe Drive Save Life Campaign
Zonal Welfare Council organized the campaign ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ which is launched by Kolkata Police. We covered the area from Joka to Amtala ( NH 117 ). Kolkata and West Bengal Police team collaborated with our NGO. Traffic police were also there.
Awareness Camps
Zonal Welfare Council organized countless awareness camps. In the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we distributed masks and aware people of the seriousness of the virus and social distancing. A total of 152 awareness camps of Covid 19 were organized. Our NGO organized awareness camps on basic health management to prevent seasonal Dengue and Malaria. On 18th and 27th August, the camps were organized in Kolkata as per the guidelines of Dr. Sankar Maiji. And in Patna 20th and 25th August, it was conducted.
Swadeshi Product Support Campaign
For the economic growth of our country on 21st June of 2020 Zonal Welfare Council conducted a campaign about the support of Make In India and Swadeshi Products. This one-day camp was organized in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan ( An autonomous body of the ministry of sports and youth affairs, Govt. of India ), supported by corporates. This campaign was organized with 200 participants in the Bishnupur-II block in Soth 24 Pargana district of West Bengal.
